We are close on a PAIR OF HANDS as they open A
FINELY WRAPPED NOTEBOOK.

WE CUT TO the hands sharpening a pencil. It's not a high
end piece, but it is quite nice.

WE CUT TO a wide shot of the garden in Palácio de Cristal. Sitting in a chair
writting is FERNANDO PESSOA; a man in his late
thirties. Everything about PESSOA, his hat and moustache,
is distinguished. He was visiting the inspiring Oporto trying to finish one of his books.
